I am coming from Salt Lake City, Utah (USA) in early spring 2009 to visit my daughter in London then spend a 2-4 week holiday another location in the UK. I would like to rent a small affordable cottage (or a room in a private home). My daughter may spend a few days with me but I will likely be the sole occupant.  No definite plans for actual dates or locations have yet been made, but I hope to confirm my travel plans soon. A scenic and secluded place to think, write, walk, hike, draw, and enjoy the local atmosphere is ideal. Preferably near the sea and walking distance to a market or eating establishment.  Use of a bicycle and access to internet nearby would be helpful. I hope to travel by train.
Not necessary, but I am willing to trade equal time in my own home in Salt Lake City, Utah (location of the 2002 Winter Olympics).  I have a guest bedroom available anytime.  If I stay in your private home, you show me around there and I'll show you around here.  A winter or summer reciprocal visit would be fine.  My home is within easy access to all shopping, four ski resorts, and scenic alpine hiking trails (15-20 mins.).  It is 45 minutes or less to Park City ski resorts.
